How to refurbishment your watches at home
Sometimes our watches are get scratched, and you just don’t want to take it to watch store. Now don’t worry, you can refurbishment the watches by your own at home now.
Before you do it, please confirm again and again your watches are silver and made by stainless steel. No matter your watches are made by gold, or cheap alloy, or other metal, remember, JUST DON’T DO IT.
Dealing with the watch yourself requires three things.
The first is the polishing cloth; the second is the polishing paste; the third is the Fine Abrasive Block. With these three things, many “injuries” on the watch can be cured at home.
The first is a polishing cloth. The polishing cloth is a “velvet.” The polished part of the watch has scratches, rubbing it with cloth repeatedly, rubbing it for a while, some scratches will disappear. After the polishing cloth has been used for a few times, it darkens itself. This is a normal reaction. Using this cloth to make the small scratches on the watch lighter.
The second is polishing paste. If there are many scratches on the polished part of the watch and the marks are large, you can use a little bit of polish. This thing is just like toothpaste. Squeeze a little bit on the cloth, and then rub the scratched area in circle, wipe it, the scratch will disappear, and the polished case will turn bright again.
The third is a Fine Abrasive Block. Fine Abrasive Blocks are things that deal with the scars on the watch. We know that as long as the drawing is done, the drawing will be interrupted, leaving a clear mark. At this time, it is necessary to use a wire drawing block to make up the broken wire. Rubbing the place to be repaired (in the direction of drawing). When the brushed block is rubbed, it will produce rubber powder-like debris, and it doesn’t matter. It wipes the place where the brushed wire is broken, and it fills it up.
Now you can fix the scratches on your watches at home, but be careful not to damage your watches. Otherwise,it better to leave it to professional.
